March Must-Have's

It's the 1st of March and spring is practically upon us, which means it's time to update your beauty bag. Aside from needing less coverage as winter mutates into spring, SS12 make up is considerably lighter and fresher than last season.
It's one of the reasons why this month sees the launch of so many new primers, blushers, and foundations all with the aim to add glow and radiance. Here's what we're rating for coverage, colour and that extra sparkle.

Benefit That Gal' Brightening Face Primer £21.50 from Benefit Cosmetics: This is a silky pink (and we mean pink) primer that makes skin appear brighter and smoother. The blurb says wear alone for a clear radiant complexion or apply before make up. For us this primer is unusual as the stick swivels up and the primer squeezes out bright and creamy. Only a very little is needed to create a healthy glow. It's best for taking taking the dullness out of post winter skin.
Benefit High Brow £14.00 from Debenhams: This really is a wonder pencil that will tame even the strongest brow. Apply the pale pink pencil under your brow following the brow bone arch. Lightly blend and it instantly defines your brow and lightens your look.
Rimmel London Glam'eyes Gel Liner £6.49 from Boots. We love Rimmel for value and also because some of their products are better then high end brands. If you're a eye liner fanatic this waterproof gel liner is worth a try. Application is easy with a built-in applicator and the Waterproof formula stays in place for most of the day.
Extra Virgin Minerals Compact Foundation £16.00 from The Body Shop. If you're looking for a new foundation you will not find anything better than this formulation by The Body Shop. Aside from giving all types of skin a flawless but natural matte finish, it has amazing staying power and comes in 8 shades.
Cook MAC Nail Lacquers £9.00 from Selfridges. Fresh from MAC's new COOK collection, we're loving the three shades of nail polish on offer for spring. Our favourite is the mouth watering Kid Orange, but we're also pretty fond of the the yellow Al Fredo and the green Salad Dressed. Bright, stays on and does-what-it-says-on-the packet! What more could you ask?
